What is the MAX boost that my truck can/will make before the turbo goes?


EDIT: What are you guys with '02-'04's seeing on your gauges?

 

safe range is about 40 psi

 

yeah... 40 is about all I would push it to

 

Not a turbo expert but have spiked at 37 a few times but mostly see 34-35 with mods in sig and have not had any problems other than turbo bark just when some jerk cuts ya off during a good push on the go pedal.

what does my stock 05 boost at?

 

i ran 47 all day long and no issues on my old 04.5

 

Stock it should peak out around 33-34 psi...then the wastegate will open and it will settle down around 28-29psi sustained. That is my understanding of it and about what I see out of my 04.5. If somebody else knows different, please correct me.
