I have to ask...... I read on another posting that the block heater on my 04.5 is installed, but I need to buy a cord??????? Come on, give me a break...... $40,000+++ for a truck and now I have to spend $10-20 more for a cord???? The heck with that, I'll just build a nice fire in my yard and park my truck on top of it. Should be nice and cozy by morning.....

OK got the part number for the cord. Now, where is the heater located so I can connect it????

 

Located to the left of the oil filter. Facing the passenger side of the engine you will find a capped heater element to the left, as you are looking at it, of the oil filter.
