Hey guys I have a buddy who has an 05 ctd with a bum motor and a chance to get a fresh motor and tranny out of an 08. I told him it would prob work if he swapped over the computer but I'm not sure. Do you guys have any input

 

It's not that easy but it can be done. Lot's of caviat's to it. Tranny won't work if it is an auto.

 

Why won't the tranny work. It's an auto and the replacement will have the computer an all the wiring and t case
