04-05 engine

Just bought 04 built 5-04 engine has phyisical diffrences to my 05 built 3-05 what are the other diffrences if any.

Engine wise, I don't think there are any.

I think 05's had plastic intercooler ends, and the APPS may be electronic on the 05.

Every thing else is the same as far as I know.

Engine should be the same. The only visual differnece I can think of is if the 04.5 is an auto it will have an engine mounted APPS where the 05 did away with that.

The way the fan shroud mounts to the engine may be different. No to bad to fix though, you just have to swap the front cover, that means pulling the cam.
