I took my truck in, well the long story I was driving down the freeway about 65mph and I hit this bump in the road then my truck (2003 2500 Cummins) started to bounce and flip and buck all over the road, boy I thought I was in a rodeo, :- after I slowed down approxmently 40 mph it smoothed right out, went to work. Then called a Dodge Dealer, and took it in, I then told the service manager about what happen he told me no way. . I said what ever I will wait till they look at it. after about 15min the mechanic came out I took him for a test drive, he said no way this should'nt bounce and do that, he looked it over and told me look some steering shock was shot. he pulled it off, came back about 20min later and told me the dang thing is on backorder, National back order now I have to wait. but I am going to try not to hit any bumps in the road. my wife tells me see I told you, I say told me what ? :'( She says I told you to buy a D-Max. I just :P then ;D ;D

 

What you have is called the Death Wobble! It's very common on Jeeps and is usually caused by the steering stablizer. I'll bet when you 1st felt it, you thought your wheels were falling off. BTW, it's not just bumps that can set it off, braking or anything that starts your steering to wobble, such as a out of balance tire, certain speeds, can cause the death wobble once your stabilizer is shot. You might want to look into an aftermarket part for a replacement.
