03-04 intercooler 555 engines vs. 04.5-07 600 engines

Did some searching here and couldnt find an answer. Are they the same? I'm shopping new and used intercoolers for my 05', and found some part numbers online. There were two different prices. the 555 cooler was actually more expensive than the one for the 600 engines?

found a used one out of an 03' but want to make sure i'm not moving backwards in terms of air flow.

Thanks!

I believe they're mostly the same except for the plastic ones. The stock ones must be pretty good. I can't tell much differance in the Spearco and the one I took off.

Man, I could.

On the stocker, it got so hot on both inlet and outlet that you couldn't touch it. On the HTT I put in, the inlet would be very hot and the outlet a nice 70-80*. This is just the metal surface temps, not the air temps... but if significant cooling had not been taking place, then the outlet would be just as hot too.

About the only thing I noticed is quicker spool off idle and about 1lb more boost at WOT. EGTs run about the same.
