For Sale Cummins 5.9 long block and more.

For Sale Cummins 5.9 long block and more. See spec list below on build and parts used. This 5.9 block was originally rebuilt with 97k miles it and installed in my 2006 Dodge ram 3500. That rebuild was needed due to a couple cracked rings and blowby.

I put 4,700 miles on it after the rebuild. I then had a 6.7 block offered to me by a friend at a cost I could not pass up, so I removed the 5.9 block and used some parts from it for the 6.7 build. You can see the build video here for the 5.9. https://youtu.be/EjNrFVdcn2M

Over a year later and after completing the 6.7 build and doing a compound turbo setup for towing I have now bought all the parts that I used from the 5.9 to rebuild it. Again I sent it to Performance Diesel Jeremy now in Utah. He did all the long block work in May of 2022.

It is for sale now as I no longer need it. I can not offer any warranty on this as I do not have any control over your application or use. I can offer free shipping by YRC freight up to a cost of $300.00 or delivery by myself if somewhat local purchase. I am asking for $7,500. NO CORE CHARGE ON ANYTHING INCLUDED. Part out your old engine if you want I do not want any cores.

All machine work and pre build verification on the block and head was done by Western Automotive Machine here in San Diego. I have paperwork for that work.

The 12-valve crankshaft was bought from Ricks Machine shop here in San Diego. It was balanced and polished.

Below is the build info. As you can see there are quite a few higher performance parts and cost that went into this build. It is more than just a long block. I am also including the original bottom rocker plate assembly. It has a small chip in it. It was working fine and had no leaks while in use on the 5.9. This bottom rocker plate also has a new preformed o'ring gasket just installed and has also been notched for the clearance needed for the Hasily/ARP head stud nuts. (See Photos for all detail. You could easily reuse your bottom rocker cover if needed.)

I will include instructions for Head stud re torque specs and other items.

I have a custom-built shipping box it will be shipped in. If YRC is used you will have to tell me where their closest location is to you for delivery and pick up 1800-610-6500 or yrcfieght.com. They will load for you with their forklift. If I deliver to you, we will need to remove it from my truck or trailer with a fork lift at your cost. I am located in San Diego.
