Im not affiliated with this guy in any way, shape or form. IMO, this is a good product and has served me well, so its worth letting others know about it.

The guy takes a stock track bar and welds a cap on it, he then takes the OEM nylon out of the cup and replaces it with a steel socket. Next, he puts a cap on the top, greases it up and youre good to go. The cost was $215 and he claims that this will be the last track bar you will buy. Also, said if you ever wear it out, it will be REPLACED FREE - no questions asked. When it starts to loosen up, you just crank it one notch tighter and put the cotter pin back in.

If youre interested - heres the info:

Franks Auto
316 Reynold Road
Billings, Mt
406-591-4644

As a point of reference...I was going to get a ThurenFab Trackbar - they retail at $300 + shipping, or a DT Profab and they are running $360+ shipping. At the time I bought this, A Moog bar was over $200 and the NAPA Gold was $217

They are more than willing to ship these out and if you have any questions, just give Frank a call. One thing - you will need you to supply an OEM Trackbar.

Heres a couple of pics:

Oh yeah, hes a fellow Cummmins owner

WOW...that looks great, I'd buy it in a heartbeat...but I need one yesterday!!! I've looked at Source Automotive, it's almost $500 bucks not including shipping (with the install kit)...I can buy a stocker at NAPA for about $200...if I can average just over 100k per track bar I'll have about half a Million miles before I match the cost (gettin' close to 200k on the truck now)...how is everyone getting the 3rd Gen track bar to work? With an adapter kit?

BTW, I installed that on my 98 4X4.

You would probably be money ahead if you ordered it and rented an econobox car until it arrived. Anyway, it might help someone else out.

You're probably right but I can't get all my tools in an econobox and I haul em up to 7-800 miles a week...

The lukes Link would solve this problem but I may wanna go with a higher lift later on...sure is cheaper though...they really last and aren't just a band-aid ???
