yanno.... i had this truck for 14 years, last night comming home i hit the washers, stupid dashboard lit up like the whole truck was burnin up.
it was the low washer fluid light. is there a way to tone that thing down some...... i thought the truck was self destructing and the dash was freaking out.

Sorry could not resist. Don't know of a way but now that you know what happens, probably won't be so traumatized next time.
Mines not overly bright.... maybe a retrofit from 2nd Gen CTD.

It would be a simple matter to disable the warning, just cut the wire at the reservoir.
But then you could run out of fluid and not know it.
Even better system is to check the washer fluid when you check the oil.

 

this sensor happens to be where my washer bottle is leaking so after i fill it up and use it once the light goes off

 

My washer fluid tank is cracked, so the idiot light reminds me every time I start the truck. One of these days I'll git a round-to-it.
