I bought my truck used and ever since I got it the steering wheel has been falling apart. I can wipe my hand across it and get little pieces of it in my hand. Now it's got a hole in it and it time to replace it. I know it has an airbag in it but does anybody know the wheel adapter part number from grant so I can put one of those in there if I can't find a goooood replacement at the junk yard?

i simpy went to the jy and found a like new one on a 2001 and installed it in my 98 !
the cruse switches and air bag simply unplug and all matched up . $35.00

make sure you disconect all batterys before you work on the air bag !

 

Good idea - ours is getting crumbly too...

Was the styling very different from your '98?

it was exactly the same style , the 98 looked to be made with a leather ? cover and the 2001 i s a vinal with the same style / appearance !
