truck loses fuel prime

If truck sits for a couple of days a bit uphill it will lose fuel prime. I have to crank it for a few seconds before it fires up, what can I check, fuel lines? etc.

Id start simple and check the copper washers on the back of the fuel filter cansister, check the fightings at the lift pump,um check all the metal lines going back to the tank for any cracks and weeps along the frame rail.
