Hello, newbie here. I've been lurking here for a couple months trying to learn about these trucks before I bought one. This is a terrific site, I've learned a lot about common problems for these trucks. I bought a 94 2500 4x4 with 220,000 miles on it for 5 grand. No rust on the body. The tailgate's banged up because the latch apparently crapped out, and someone beat the gate up trying to get it to stay shut again. The seat's ripped on the driver's side. The steering wanders, but it isn't unbearable yet. The auto tranny was replaced at 205k, and the converter just got replaced a couple weeks ago. Shocks and brakes were done 10k ago. The injector pump was replaced with a 215hp unit. KDP hasn't been checked. Silencer ring is out. I don't know if I got a good deal, but I like the truck. I don't mind taking care of a couple small problems. Just thought I'd finally appear.
