tach keeps quiting?
have a truck at the house and the tach will work only half the the time and it will throw a check engine light when it quits, the trucks runs fine though. any thoughts?

Tach quitting, most likely the crank sensor is toast. Located just above the starter in the side of the block.. #10 is the CKP sensor.

Have you tried checking the wire coming off the distributer cap?


J/K I think they are right about crank sensor

i wish it where that easy! the 02 doesent have a crank sensor, hope its the cam sensor, they are a bitc* to change.
