switching outside mirrors

I just bought my wife a 02 sport cummins truck and it has towing mirrors on it. She doesn't like the width of them and I was thinking of switching to a sport type mirror on it. I would like electric heated mirrors so does anyone know if the wiring is already in the doors or do you have to run new wiring loom through the truck. Has anyone run the aftermarket mirrors they sell and how good is the fit on them. One more question, will the later 03 and up mirrors fit on the earlier body style. Was the later mirrors offered with the turn signal in them also?

When I replaced my door speakers it seems like I remember seeing a plug in the door that wasn't plugged into anything It could be for the mirrors as I do not have electric or heated mirrors.

Also You would probably have to buy a mirror heater button from dodge and a mirror toggle thingy that goes on the door.
