steering damper removal

Is there a prefered way to remove the stud attached to the drag link adjuster tube? I am tring to replace the stock shock unit. I have just installed the DSS, and that was easy. Thanks, Ken

You can use a puller like a pitman arm puller. I used a big hammer because none of my pullers fit.

I usually get on the end of the stud and tap on it with a blunt attachment on an air chisel. Don't do it unless you're replacing it though.

I always use a pitman arm puller, sometimes you need to add some heat and a big hammer to beat on the puller.

I spray with BB blaster then tap(BIG HAMMER MORE LIKE HIT)the top and bottom of drag like at stud then hit stud, stud won't be no good now so youl have to replace it.

Air hammer/chisel works the best!!
