My friends "99" d350/ 5 spd. ,told me his trk., don't start every time, i think it may be the safty sw., on the trans., ??Where is it located,??do we have a sticky on this problem?? THANKS in adv.

 

Does it turn over every time? Yes, fuel system. No, could be electrical.

Sorry!!! when it don't start, it's dead as a hammer,my friend said he gets a push ( 3-5 ft )it starts right up. It may go 2-3 days before it won't do anything, zilch ,nada,,,push time. That's why i thought it might be the safty swich on the trans??? thanks for the come back.....

 

So it doesn't turn over at all? Could be the contacts within the starter itself hitting a dead spot...

It could be the starter contacts which is a fairly simple fix.

Here is a borrowed pic of the neutral safety switch. Location is just above the clutch peddle. I would also look at the starter contacts first.
