I will have to take some pictures of this tomorrow and post up. I haven't found this anywhere online. but I dont even know what its called so I'm looking blind for it on the net.

All I can find on that name leads to a chinese Manufacturer so I'm not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel.

Who knows why they did it that way. The more parts used, the better chance of failure. Then hope it's not a catastrophic failure on the road. I converted to Sports maybe 6 years ago. Made up 2 separate quick and easy harnesses with 2 relays each. One set attached to each battery box and using power from each battery. This last summer when I retrofitted a set of HID projectors to some 1 piece lights I cannibalized the harnesses and still using half of the original 6 year old parts now that I run both headlamps from 1 of the truck sockets.

okay so I have been at work and finally got a break to post this up.

I cannot find and no one at my part stores know what this is actually called.
this is on both sides in harness behind relays but forward of the main socket on harness that plugs into the oem original socket.

Loose it. You already have the relays so it will be simple to rewire it.

since I still have lights and this isn't an emergency i will look at doing some re-wiring after the holiday.

does anyone know what that black box i took a picture of is actually called? a relay? just trying to figure out what the purpose of it. if that is the faulty part in this mess. I guess I'm scratching my head still on if its the bad part that both sides went bad?

have a safe and great holiday. I'm taking the wife and kid for a week to sunriver oregon. I will be driving the wifes new subaru and get to test out the all wheel drive for the first time in likely snow and ice.

I guess I didnt say this before but with that box unplugged I have no lights on that side. So im not taking it apart since I need the lights I do have. Suvlights did the harness and it appears the are out of buisness. Dieselautopower has a harness that appears the same as what mine did im going to talk to them this week.

It was put in there as a switching box. Take something simple and complicate it. That way you can charge more money for it like the "bright box". All you need to do the same thing as the bright box is add a cheap high wattage diode between the high and low relay. They probably didn't go out at the same time, you just didn't notice until both went out.

Hope you get it fixed up, when I did my Sports I knew my electrical knowledge lacked so I just did the plug & Play method with a bright box that's built for this modification
Dodge Ram Brite Boxes\
I also did the 819 headlight fix so my switch wouldn't get overloaded

no I haven't fixed this yet. I was on vacation with my wife and son at Sunriver oregon for a week and now back to work at the VA Hospital and its been nuts here the week of christmas. I was thinking of the bright box but If I do go that route I will have to look into which one to get since I was a non sport that converted to a sport headlight. if that makes sense.

Why spend that kind of money when all you need is a simple rectifier diode between the relays?

Biggest thing to watch for is current draw and voltage drop at the connector with all lamps fired. Sport headlights use relays in the power distribution. Singles do not. Now you're pulling twice the power from a line designed for a single. Just put together a set of relays and use the diodes. I had this for years when I ran quads. 2 relays mounted on each battery box with each pair of lights getting power directly from each battery. Big difference in the brightness of the lamps when you get away from pulling power through the headlight switch. Since then, I've replaced the quads with clear 1 piece singles. Dismantled them and installed true HID projectors inside. I'll never go back to a halogen.

No your not, because the low beam relay is being turned on by the power to the high beam relay. You are simply turning on all of the relays in the high beam position using the rectifier diode.
