Speaker not working

I have a 2001 ram with the infinity cass./cd system. A few days ago it was a bit cold and on the way to work I noticed that the right front speaker was a bit distorted. I thought that the truck was getting a little older and it being cold might be the problem. That afternoon it was warmer and everything seemed ok.
Today I started the truck and the radio was on and the front right sounded like a bunch of feed back and popping. I moved the joy stick to the fr. left and there was nothing. I usually don't have it turned up much and didn't notice that it wasn't working. I went back to the middle and the right was ok but no fr. left.

Any ideas?

Every week there is something jerking at the wallet looking for money and now its the sound system.
It sure seems like these trucks are troublesome, with 45,000 miles on mine, this last year I keep poking money at it. Doesn't make a fellow want to rush out and buy a new dodge product.

Thanks from a Dodge owner who is starting to wonder if the all mighty Ram is all mighty....

Door speakers can get wet at the car wash and the voice coils can seize up. If you feed a little more power to it does it make any sound. Easy way out is to try a test speaker on it. if it still doesn't work and the rear ones are good then look for a broken wire in the door jamb. The wires become quite brittle in the cold and are not as flexible.

Yes it could be a broken wire. I had that happen to my 98 cherokee. I wonder if anyone has had that happen and what to look for, color wise. Thanks.
