Pops me everytime also.....I am getting to where I like it now. I would probably think something was wrong if it didnt do it.

AAhhh,
A little "electro-shock" therapy!!
True, mine does it too, the weather conditions do play a role- humidity, or lack of it. My '89 Chevy used to be a little worse about it.
It's a small price to pay for the fun of driving a modified diesel pickup! ;D

Re:Shocking Dodge
Over here we get some very good anti-static spray for the seats at the Toyota dealer. Works like a charm. My bottle lasts 2 yrs by now- we do apply it on any of the 4 cars we own.<br>HTH<br><br>AlpineRAM
Re:Shocking Dodge
I find that if it happens to me, I just hold the door while I get out, and no shock. The other thing that bugs me is that even while I'm driving around sometimes I'll get a shock. :'(<br><br>Even more important than sliding off seats though!!! I find that I get shocked when the humidity is real low. I've never gotten shocked as long as I've been in the sauna state (Florida).

My truck used to do the same dang thing.
<br><br>When I put my Mopar seat covers on it quit. [undecided]<br><br>Now when I take the seat covers off, (when I go some where nice) it doesn't shock me anymore. ???<br><br>I'm still scratching my head over that one.

Re:Shocking Dodge
I don't know if this will help but you know those wood bead chair thingies that bus drivers put on the seats? Wood is a pretty good insulator and that may help from creating static OR try that static guard spray on your seat and see if that does anything!
Re:Shocking Dodge
I don't understand the problem here. What's with the hatred of static electricity? Man, I live for the charge of the "zip". It doesn't rate a zap in my book, just a zip. Now, a zap is what you get when you accidentally touch a live 110 wire. That little buzzin' is better than a triple shot of coffee. Ah, what a way to get the day started. Now, 220 rates an AH, Excrement. Definitely not something to start your day with. Some people are more prone to static charge. Wear light gloves, preferably not wet
<br>Uh, for those not in the know, I'm an electrician and NEED that little fix in the morning, wait, no I can't tell you that, it's a trade secret..... Great, now in addition to drug testing, they'll find a way to test us for that. Hey, it's cold weather, wear gloves while out and about. For those really sensitive, I've got some gloves rated for 10KV, just certified 6 months ago. <br><br>~Dave<br>
