Scratch removal on windshield?

It looks like a crack, but its not.

Bout the size of a hair and 9 inches long...

It looks like it was marked with something...

Can kinda feel it if you rub your finger over it...

Rubbing compound?

If you try to polish it out you could create small dished area and get a blurry spot. They have glass polishing compund but I'm not sure you could get after it without distorting the glass. Scratches in glass are usually permanent.

When its cold and wet out, I can see alot of scratches in my windshield right infront of the drivers seat and the wheather stripping is kinda messed up in the top right corner. I have been waiting and waiting for a rock to hit my window. I bet if I threw a rock at it, it would bounce on to the hood and chip the paint. When I got the truck the scratches were alot worse but I guess using the wipers so much kinda polished them out since there no that deep.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
general rule, If you can feel it, it won't polish out. I have had success removing acid stain marks and other nasties by machine buffing with VERY FINE (swirl mark remover) buffing compound. PROCEED AT YOUR VERY OWN RISK.
