Having to replace the entire arm.
Any tricks or tips to remove old mirror arm/housing and replacing? though I would ask before I start.

I can install /remove them without taking off door panel , just take screw out and pull back and put a wedge in door panel to keep it back, I have huge hands and there is still enough room to do it , just don't drop nothing down there or youll have to remove panel then

 

its not hard to do. a couple screw on the door panel and then pop out the plastic pinch/trees and this gives you access to the back of mirror support and nuts.
look on you-tube there are videos free to watch to show you also.
