Power windows not working

Can anyone help me push me in the right direction over the years? I have replaced the power switch in the drivers door as when it gets wet it goes out but this time that is not helped and the fuse box in the dash is good where should I look next for most possible, can't seem to get any power with a plug for the windows switch and I have power to the power mirror switch

Your best bet would be get a cheep 12v test light or volt meter so you can find out if you have power to the switch and then the motor.

Does the right window work right from the right hand switch? If so the grounds in the left door are okay. The left door ground is a problem area.

Power is from the circuit breaker in the fuse panel.

If you have high mileage and have opened the door more than most, the wires wear out at the driver door hinge. There is a connector behind the dash that can be unplugged and the door harness removed with the rubber grommet. I think there is a plug for the dome light switch and a ground to remove as well. The harness can be torn down and wires pulled on individually. If they stretch the wires are bad. Solder in replacement wire or get harness.

Thanks I have read the power door lock and the window switch are powered by the same circuit. The power door lock. switch works in the passengers door, but not the window will replace the switch in the passengers window and hopefully the window works. It worked for the longest time through the driver switch but the driver switch got wet And I have replaced it numerous times and that cure the problem replaced it this time and drivers window does not work nor passenger window, but passenger door lock b has power

The passenger switch grounds through the driver switch. If the driver switch has a ground problem both windows fail.

You need a test light instead of throwing parts at it.

I have a test light that's great information. Do you happen to know the color of the power wire and the ground wire on the power window switch plug

The switches can be taken apart if you're careful. The contacts become oxidized and can be cleaned with very fine sandpaper. Have done mine more than a few times. Works well.
