Was reading new posts and saw that someone in 3rd gen was asking about power sliding rear windows. Well now i'm thinking that id like to have one in my truck. has anyone done it or know of a kit for a 2nd gen quad cab? Its hard enough to keep this thing on the road while i'm paying attention never mind reaching around behind me fumbling with that latch.

Being an occasional klutz, I had a glass shop install the Laurence kit in my '98 and I did the wiring . It was a superb addition to the truck and I used it ofter. Sadly, my '06 has a sun roof instead of the slider window. My loss.

it's something a glass shop will need to glue in for you.the dodge ram 2nd and 3rd gen slider's are an absolute bear to pull.you will do more damage to the truck pulling the old one out.i'm a certified auto glass tech by trade and still hate doing these.

 

any idea on a price of one of these?
