Power port question

My power port is not working anymore nor was my cig. lighter. I found the fuse for the cig. and it was blown so I replaced it and the cig is now working fine. But still no power for the power port for charging the cell phone and I can't find a fuse for it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

I believe there is a fuse under the hood. Did you check that one for the power port?

If you run a search I believe you will find this is a weak point. It seems that the wire will get hot and weak and come off behind the dash area.

Swordfish, I looked the other night but found no fuse layout. I did it again this morning and pulled the edge off and turned the cover upside down and there was the layout and the power port fuse that was blown. Thanks. Just curious at what would cause my cig and power port to blow all of a sudden. I never use the cig so I guess it could have been blown for a while.

TallTom, I did a search on power port, and it pulled everything with the word power in it. Do you have a suggestion for some search words for this, Thanks.

My cigarette lighter was not working, fuse ok, the plug had come off the back, they just push on with no lock. I guess with very bad roads they just vibrate off.

Just an example of a simple failure, we were hunting a few weeks ago, my bro in law plugs in his charger for his cell phone, blows the fuse. Replace the fuse works fine with my charger, he plugs in his charger and it's blown again. Bad electronics, there was even a fuse in his charger that was good but it still blew the fuse in the fuse panel, door side. Was there a device plugged in before that might have blown the fuse, if so it might happen again.

Good luck.
