power doorlocks

On my 01 ram . Parked and got out with keys in ignition and was walking into my shop and heard my door locks rapidly locking and unlocking . I thought maybe my key fob had shorted out or something and removed batteries , but didn`t stop it . Finally had to pull the fuse out . Anyone ever have this happen to them ?

Unfortunately in our 20+ year old trucks electronics start fritzing....check grounds, door switches, clean key fob insides with electrical spray etc....central timing module can act up with grounding and low voltages.

Check batteries properly,,,,

Check the wire harness where it passes through the rubber boot between the body and the door.

I have an early 98 and when I bought it a few years ago the guy that sold it to me said he pulled the fuse for the power door locks because the same thing was happening to him. He gave me 5 extra keys because he would get locked out. He did a lot of research and could not find a way to disable the alarm. Every time I shut the truck off and pull the key out I get two beeps of the horn. But with the fuse out I never get locked out. I just push the lock button down when I leave the truck.
