Question Oops!!!

I boo boo'd!! I disconnected my timing box from VP44 without disconnecting battery cables. How do I get my check engine light to go out now?

DUOH!!!! Ah, shouldn't really harm much, I wouldn't think, The CEL light should turn off after several cycles of the key. Or you can disconnect the battery's for several minutes. Or use a code ready to clear it out.

Well......I disconnected battery long enough to reconnect timing box...cycle the key e few times while cables off....reconnected cables and cycled key once, light still on...

How long is a few minutes? I've read at least 30 for the APPS...

At least 30 I'd think. The idea is to wipe clean the PCM temperary memory. I installed and uninstalled several boxes with never disconnecting the battery's. And never had any problems....

30 min should def do it. I have done the same thing you did bud. I left the battery disconnected for a half hour and the light went bye bye. Good luck
