I have an oil leak coming from some sort of plug behind the ecm. Any one dealt with this before; and your remedy? I was told it is for a different application of oil dipstick? when used in school buses or such. Thanks for any help.

 

I do not remember my 01 "other" dip stick boss being behind the ecm I am thinking it was forward of the ecm but I may be wrong. In any case if it is the "other" dip stick boss plug then just get a new one, a bit tight to get the old one out but not that big a deal. However there may be more than one and I just do not know about it, a quick look found this may or may not be right but... certainly looks larger at least in the pic than the one I am talking about. Mine was perhaps 1/2 inch diameter at best,.well same size as the oem dip stick tube
