OEM wheel specs and replacement options

I've spent hours surfing for the OEM offset and backspace (I don't have my truck here) and this is the only link I can find:http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/wheel/specs.htm Here's a caption

1994-2002 2500 2WD/4WD Steel Wheels:

* Lug Pattern - 8 on 6.5", 9/16" bolt
* Rim Size - 16x6.5"
* Offset - 4.75"
* Max Tire Size - 245/75R16, 255/85R16

2000-2002 2500 2WD/4WD Forged Aluminum Wheels:

* Lug Pattern - 8 on 6.5", 9/16" bolt
* Rim Size - 16x8"
* Offset - 6.25"
* Max Tire Size - ??

Obviously whoever wrote this doesn't know what offset is because the only way a 6.5" wide wheel can have over 3.5" of offset is if the mounting surface sticks out past the lip of the wheel. Besides, offset should be expressed in mm, not inches. Does anyone know what the true specs are, or some close aftermarket replacements?
