No dashboard lights

My dash lights went out a while ago. The headlights and dome light work, just the dash is out. I replaced the switch (thanks for the help Clutch1) but no change at all. I checked the fuses, and they all are OK. What is next? I am not the best electrician, so I need some help. Thanks in advance.

check for ground

You might want to check and make sure you havent lost the ground in the dash light wiring. There is also a recall on the light switch and wiring harness. Just some thoughts.

The running/parking lights work.

I have a vague memory of looking up the recall, and if I remember right, the recall did not cover the 96 2500 diesel.

Where is the ground located?
