newbee question.. headlight indicator??

i been searching high / low
does a 96 have an illuminated headlight control switch?

if not, can it be upgraded to the rotary style??

all I found is some say yes some say no.. i already know the LATER ones light up, im talking about the 96 only, when i took it out i saw no bulb, and the lettering does not look translucent to let backlighting through, but this is my first 2nd gen. nothing to compare it too
thankyou

It's not backlit. I'm sure you could put the newer rotary switch, may take some wire splicing tho. I've never even thought about it, I prefer the push/pull ones myself.
