New steering box + DSS = heaven
New steering box + DSS = heaven
I put a new steering box and the DSS in my truck today...
It was complicated by the fact that my steering shaft's telescopic function has kicked it, so I had to put the new box in with the shaft attached (the shaft seems to have nothing else wrong with it, and apparently couldn't have been telescoping during normal use, plus I needed the truck tonight/tomorrow, and would have been unable to get a new shaft).
I have 110,000+ on the balljoints, tierod ends, etc. (put on right when I got it) But the steering is now the tightest I have had on this truck.

Now if only my shutdown solenoid hadn't kicked it hard on the first drive after.

excuse my ignorants. Whats the DSS? My steering is loose as well and I was looking to tighten it up with a Lukes link on the trackbar. Found out that is already done. So now I am looking in other areas. Thanks
