Identify Axels

This info is probably hidden somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

Let's help everyone identify their axels in this thread. How do I know which front axel I have? I think it's either a Dana 44 or a Dana 60.

I have a 1996 2500 4x4 club cab with 4.10 gears. What is my front axel? I'm trying to order ball joints and I need to know which ones to get.

Thanks

You will most likley have the Dana 60. There will be a sticker in your glove box or under your hood ont he core support that will tell you your axles trans transfer case ect.

i have the same setup you do minus the CTD...

Hope this helps

If you have a CTD, you will have a 60 up front.

Yep its a 60. Try to get some offset ball joints for a less road wander.
