High suction pressure on AC
 

I have the right amount of freon 2 lbs. in the system, the high side presure is all right but the low side goes from 45 60 lbs. of suction pressure, 95 dodge ram diesel

that sounds about right , 40-60 is ok unless you mean you have a problem of some sort. How cold is your air getting thats what really matters.

Remember that the pressures depend on several factors,

design of the system
whether or not the system has the proper amount of refrigerant
temperatures

With your windows down, A/C on Max, with the blower on High, the air coming out of the vents should be 30°-40° below ambient air temperature. When I get home from work I will look in my A/C books and look up the proper pressures for you.

The proper amount of refrigerent needed is exactly 2 lbs of R134a, like you mentioned earlier.

Proper operating pressures are as follows :

Low side (suction) is 32-40 psi

High side (discharge) is 190-220 psi

Let me know what you get for pressure readings and if your A/C isn't doing what it's supposed to do.
