Headlights Dont Work

I have running and clearance lights. Is this the switch gone bad or is it possible that I blew a fuse. Also does anyone know if running/brake/clearance lights are on a different fuse from the headlights?

I had this same problem once and two weeks later the lights started working again, never had the issue since, been two or three years, I know it does not help much.

First things first...
Gotta fill out your sig so we know what truck you are talking about.

But generally headlights are separately fused.

2nd, check the obvious...

Do your brights work?
Are the bulbs burnt out? I had two go at the same time.

Check your head lamp sockets for voltage, check for voltage across your fuses, then check for voltage across your switch. I said that order so you don't have top take your switch out if you don't need too. Also, check your grounds. Add one to your headlight socket to see if that may be an issue. You may also have a bad relay.

Well its dark outside...

Go check!!!

Just one of those lessons learned. kinda look before you swing the hammer type of deal. If they are burned out, you may have some electrical issues. Sometimes not enough can be just as bad as to much. While you have the bulbs out to check, put a volt meter on there and get some readings.

Except for the whole fire and melting wires thing...
