Headlight replacement

My 01 headlight lenses are really cloudy, has anyone replace the factory headlights?
Did you do the complete light assembly or just the lens?
How much trouble was it?

Geno's has full replacements and for the 98 model year at least it's a significant improvement. If it's just a matter of cleaning the plastic lens try using toothpaste and buffing.

I have an 02 that originally had the single bulbs. Switched them out for the sport lamps. Was not hard at all. I also installed a relay kit from www.danirelstern.com.

Made a huge difference in light output. I got my assemblies from ebay, but wish I had gone with the OEM's. The cheap chinese ebay assemblies I have leak and the reflective coating 'cracked'. They were half the price of the OEM's but I am going to have to replace them after only a couple of years, so in the long run not worth it IMO.

I have buffed out lenses before and it does work well. My son has a Dakota and the lenses on his went from yellowish white to clear. Only took about 15 minutes, but they were really really bad. My kit from Walmart had a drill attachment, worked pretty slick actually.
