On our 2002 found out that it has an engine imobilizer. Unloading the cab and some how and alarm started sounding, and I couldn/t figger out how to turn it off. Put key in ingition and started engine, ran for 2 seconds. and stopped.
Called dealer service dept. They would like to look at truck. Be a while before I can take it up there.
The Unlock the door trick worked and and was able to get truck running again.
We did have a remonte to lock and unlock doors, but it has been misplaced. Can a new one be programmed for the truck with out having the original.??

 

For you to program a keyless, you have to have a working one. The dealer can program a brand new one.
