Electronic Overhead Swap

Electronic Overhead Swap

I just pulled a Electronic overhead out of a 99 gasser and plan to put it in my 2000ctd ,has anyone done this before ? i ran acouple searches but couldnt find anything helpfull . do any of you know of any links or have any tips that would help ? Thanks Dan

I'm certain the mpg portion of the overhead won't work on your diesel.
The temp and compass will though, probably will need the temp sensor though.

yeah i wouldnt expect the mpg to work , but they are never right even when they do . I just want temp and compass. i just need to figure out where the 10 wires that come out of that thing need to go and which ones not to hook up

Sounds like you may need the factory service manual for both your truck and the donor.
Might be cheaper to just buy a rear view mirror that displays temp and compass.
