Dual Antennas

For my new C.B. setup I'm thinking about running dual 4' Firestik II antennas off of their fender mount bracket. I kinda wanted the front to look symetrical, and was thinking, could I just go to a junkyard and pull an radio antenna off a truck and mount it to the drivers side fender? Wouldn't really need to be hooked up for function as it is just for looks. Anyone tried it?

I went to the junkyard and got the assembly, like what you are talking about. I then used my ability to modify to fit my needs, and turned the am/fm antenna mount, into a Firestick mount. You can look at my pictures and see the 01. This weekend, I remounted the bracket, on the 03. Today, I picked up a 3' Firestick, since I can't find my 4'. I took a piece of 3/8 reinforced water hose, painted it black, cut it to match the Firestick height, then slipped it over the stock am/fm antenna. I will try to get pictures of the 03 up this weekend.

That's a slick setup firestorm, I was planning on using 2 of the Firestik mounts that bolt to the fender bolt and go out from under the hood, and just run a dummy antenna on the drivers side, So it'll work just got to measure 5 times and drill once!
