Drag link replacement

I am replacing my drag link and would like to know if I will need an alignment when im done? I think since the tie rods are not being disturbed the only thing that could be messed up after is the steering wheel being off center. Am I correct about not needing an alignment?

I am pretty sure that you will not need an alignment if you are just adjusting the drag link.

i dont think so, i think you just need to center your steeering wheel by loosing the two clamps on the bar that goes to the steering box.jmho[i just installed a new moog yesterday]ps have a lukes link for sale, make offer...[not too happy with that install]

The 4x4's have a tie rod that sets the toe and is not affected by just changing the drag link. The only thing that will need to be set is centering the steering wheel. I drive the truck in a straight line and stop, pull the wheel and set it in center and drive straight again to make sure it is centered, then tighten the nut when done. You may need a puller to pop the steering wheel loose. Good luck
