Diy Bed Liner Recomendations?

Anyone got a recommendation for a good DIY truck bed liner? The online reviews are mixed on all of them that I looked at. It doesn't have to be a professional result and I don't haul that much so doesn't have to be iron tough. My priorities are 1. Ease of application 2. Cost. I know the prep work is key and am willing to do a good job on that. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I tried some Herculiner on the running boards and the bottom of the cab along where the running boards mounted to the cab. Its held up okay, it might be because its cheap or because I didn't get the surface prepped 100% for it to hold better. It held onto the cab better than the running boards and only rubbed off where I seem to drag my pants across it getting in and out. The passenger side has held up better and it has stayed stuck to the cab. I just rolled it on with the cheapest roller I could find, because I wasn't going to try and clean the roller off to use it later.

I didn't use a whole quart, and it doesn't seem to have a good shelf life after it has been opened. It has held its color better than what ever brand the original truck owner had sprayed in the bed. This is an older picture, but you can see where I used it at.
No idea why it posted the image twice.
