Codes missing?
By the key on/off method I get code 1255...which I understand means that the battery had been disconnected recently (yesterday while testing the alternator, actually).
I have a continuous Air Bag light lit, but its not showing any codes for it. Do I have to scan it with a fancy scanner to get codes for whats wrong with the AirBag?
I've already changed the rear-axle sensor which did fix the problem for about 3 weeks. Then, the AirBag light came back on intermittenly, and now has been on continuously for awhile now. Still no codes show up.

I stopped by AutoZone tonight and they told me that their scanner could not pull codes from my truck unless the "Check Engine" light was on. Well, it isn't, but I know I have a problem as the AirBag light is on steady.
So what kind of special scanner is required to scan these darn trucks anyway?
What do you guys use to pull codes? I certainly don't want to even get near the dealer!

Find a different autozone. They should be willing to scan it or let you scan it no mattter what. I'm not sure if the airbag will show up or not. Someone else will have to respond to that. I do know that the check engine lght isn't always on when there are codes.
