Clutch Question
Please bear with me if this has been asked before. I could not find the answer anywhere.
I have a 98 2WD 5 speed. I pull a 5th wheel occasionally. It seems lately that when I am unloaded and get on it like after slowing down a little, the engine winds up a little bit faster than the pickup gets going. My question is, does this sound like my clutch is going out, and if so, how can I test it to be sure? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

That's how it feels, like it is slipping. Am I correct in assuming that means a new clutch in the near future, or is there some way to adjust it?

New clutch time. Too much slipping and you could do some damage to the flywheel, but if you go with SBC products, it comes in the package.

Thanks. Best place to buy is Napa I guess? Any other suggestions? Also, which clutch is best for my pickup?
