clear cab lights/clearance lights

I saw a company that had clear cab lights/ clearance lights for fords/chevys but didnt have any for dodge. I have clear tail lights and think the clear cablights with amber bulbs would look pretty good. Has anyone come across a company offering these?

thanx

I think they would look pretty sharp especially w/ the clear tails.

I made the mistake of putting on one of the new 'Lunar" visors from lund when I first bought my truck. Of course since the 3m double faced tape that holds it in place failed withing the first couple of months, MR Bright , who at the time owned a body shop, figured to drill through the roof and really mount the bugger Lets just say, after about a year and 1/2, the visor started rattling again,(it had torn a larger hole through the roof!!!)

I've patched the holes with some panel bonding adhesive, but am looking for some nice looking cab lights to cover up my mistake

If you find something out on the clear ones, or some other brand that looks good--I'd really appreciate a line on this..

Thanks Guys----Bonehead in MN aka Magnum

There's a guy here on campus that has the clear lights on a ford. I don't think they look to good. Truck is sick though. Blows smoke like no one's business. I just installed the orange ones on my truck (christmas present from the girlfriend)..

I am also very interested in these lights. I have been searching, and can't find any. Anybody think there could be some way of remolding clear lenses for them, and use an amber bulb? I have a double-rotating beacon on the top that has a clear shield, and amber bulbs, and the clear running lights would be perfect.

I wonder how these would look? They are for 98+ Ford, but they are pretty close to the dodge

No offense McGruff---I'd rather put aftermarket garbage on my truck than put some FERD stuff on it

I've looked into the clear clearance lights for Dodge Rams, I contacted APC last year all they said was that the market wasn't big enough for Rams to make them....... I guess if you really wanted them the furd or cheby could fit as long as the screw holes lined up!! Haven't tried yet.

Another place to look for real cab lights is try your Kenworth, Freighliner, Inter or volvo and Western Star dealers. They will have different cab lights on all there searies of trucks

Hate to steal the thread, but how do you get the bulb out of the cab light once you get it off the cab? My wire was so short i couldnt really look under it, and it didnt look like a connector was anywhere to be unplugged. I bought 2 red bulb covers from auto zone, and was wanting to see what they would look like. Do you guys think they would be very bright with red bulb covers still in the yellow lenses? I have seen some trucks with red cab lights, and i thought it looked good, so i was just wondering. I was going to make the 2 on the outside red, and have the 3 middle ones yellow. Thanks for any help.

Eric

I'm no expert, but I would check with local laws B4 putting any, ANY red lights on top of your cab. The local constables might become upset...not to mention state trooper types. Just my nickel's worth.

I've seen a ford around here with red cab lights. It looks all right, but it didn't seem to go with the orange running lights up front. If you did the outsides in red, I think it might look pretty slick, though.
