changing to highline bcm question
changing to highline bcm question
Just purchased an 01 3500, standard power options. I have an infinity system and a delux overhead console that I would like to add. I already have the in door harnesses from the correct donor truck as well as the overhead console harness, under hood ambient temp sensor and wiring as well as a complete dash asm from the same donor truck compelte with all wiring and highline BCM.
Just wondering if I will have any problems due to the vtss on the highline controller, I would like to use the keyless entry as well since now all I will need are the remotes, but just wanting to make sure I shouldn't have any no start issues since with the stock ecm. I know some chysyler products have a different ecm for the highline models but not sure if this applies to my truck.
Has anyone else done this? Since I hve all the correct harnesses it should be a "plug and play" swap for the most part. Taking the dash out anyhow to install one of the new ones from the dealer. Hoping it doesn't crack in 5 years!
