Checked a/c the other day and everything seemed to work fine. Started the truck turned a/c on worked fine stopped somewhere and left the truck running for about ten min then got back in and the a/c was no longer working. Messed with the switch a few times and could not get it come back. Checked it again and found when sitting the high pressure was geting to high and the clutch would cycle. Put a hose in cooler to lower high side and then a/c worked fine. Do i have a bad compressor?

 

maybe a bad fan clutch not pulling air when idling or sitting
