Question Blown 40amp trailer fuse

On my 01, I blew the 40amp fuse under the hood for the trailer lights. The wiring diagram on the new trailer plug was wrong.
My question is, is this a dealer only fuse or can I get it at a local parts store?

Thanks!

No, you don't have to go to the dealer for those......I have blown that fuse a few times in the past and got them at NAPA......I would expect most good auto parts stores should carry them.

$4 for a fuse, a bit pricey, but has to be cheaper than the dealer. THANKS!

Someone thought they were cheaper at the dealer. I had to take a handfull of them out to one of our new trucks on the lot. Someone got one helluva deal on those fuses. The "IOU" note must have blown away!

I had one blow, and pulled the one out of the booster plug , just to get home. 40 amp also. It took 3 weeks for the ABS light to go out after I install the new one.
What was that about?

Some codes, as well as the dash light, take x amount of starts without the problem existing for the light/codes to clear.

ABS might be one of the 50+ clean start ones.
