Battery Tray?
So I bought my new optima batteries and I was trying to take the old ones out... too much battery acid over the years distroyed the stupid little nut thingys (in technical terms of course) that the bolts screw into... I tried to remove the tray itself so I could get the bottom bolt on but I could only find 4 bolts and the tray is still as solid as it was when I started... the only other option is to get some J bolts from pep-girls and do it the ghetto way... any ideas?

and no, I am not willing to take off the wheel well cover... every one that I have ever taken off has been a complete pain in the backside and its too cold to screw with it...

basically, the truck will get towed to the *********** or I will duct tape the darn thing down till I find a better solution.

You can get to the nuts on the fenderwell from underneath without taking the well cover off. Use a LONG extension and a flex-joint. Go up ahead of the well cover behind the bumper.
