Ball Joint Replace Help

97 2wd 3500. Need help or picture of what coil spring compressor you used. Thank you.

I did mine on the truck. Only lowers but used a ball joint installer and it's easy.

Only reason for spring compressor is to remove lower control arms or replace springs.

Neither operation necessary for ball joint replacement.

I did all 4 of mine last fall.
Best tip I can give is find someplace to rent the correct tool or some way to make your own.
I wrestled with one side literally for hours trying to get the new ones in. I figured a hammer got them out I should be able to knock the new one back in.....WRONG!!!
I found that I had a hub socket and the biggest C clamp known to man and that put the joint in.
I'm sure you should be able to borrow from a parts place or rent a hydraulic one that will make the job MUCH faster and easier.
Take my word for it. This is one time the right tool will be worth it!!
