Back up light switch out again

Back up light switch out again

My backup light switch that screws into the transmission goes out about every other year. This will be the 4th time I've replaced it. Has anyone found a more permanent solution?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick

Maybe don"t back up??????????? Could it be corrosion on connector or pulling excessive current for some reason....
