Exclamation APPS and brake light

I disconnected the batteries on my 01 and cleaned them in the process i followed the instructions on resetting the APPS by leaving the key on when you disconnect the grounds etc etc, anyways i go to start it up after all this and now i have the ABS and Brake light on at the same time and they are not going off. Any ideas? i am doin this becasue i am having convertor locking issues, my next step is to drop the pan and replace the solenoids anyone done that or have any info on it??

Key on while disconnecting the grounds?????? That is not in any service manual I've read. Must be some mechanics way of making sure has something to repair.
Perhaps a FSM could be put on your X'mas list.

I would suggest re-doing the process, but make sure the key is off. I did the same thing by accident. I disconnected the batteries, turned the key to the on position, cleaned the batteries, and after an hour went to re-connect everything, and I forgot the key was still in the "run" position. The instrument panel lit up like christmas...I just disconnected everything waited a half an hour and re-connected the batteries after I made sure the key was off. Did the reset procedure, and alll was well again. If I recall the same two lights stayed on for me also until I re-did the procedure.

I hope this helps.

Sorry...the procedure is in the "Tech Facts" Section at the top of the page...under 24 valve, and listed as APPS reset procedure.
